  3. This is disk 440 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  4. Below is a listing of the significant directories and their contents.

  7. 3DPlot        A 3D function plotting program that does hidden line, solid,
  8.         or contour plots of equations of the form Z=F(X,Y).  You can
  9.         scale the plot, set plot limits, change rotation, etc.  Can
  10.         save and load the plots themselves, as well as the data.
  11.         Version 2.0, includes source.

  14. DMake        Matt's version of the UNIX make utility.  Features multiple
  15.         dependancies, wildcard support, and more.  This is version
  16.         1.0, an update to version 1.0 on disk 246, but now includes
  17.         source.

  20. MegaD        Yet another disk utility program for the Amiga.  This one
  21.         allows an unlimited number of directories to be accessed
  22.         simultaneously.  Version 1.01, shareware, binary only.

  31. Deksid        A disk and file hexadecimal editor.  Useful for editing
  32.         binary files.  Version 1.10, shareware, binary only.

  35. DiskPrint    Prints labels for 3.5" disks, primarily for PD library
  36.         disks.  Label data files can be loaded into memory so
  37.         labels for special disks are available without having to
  38.         type anything in or without having to wait for AmigaDOS
  39.         to read in the full directory.  This is version 2.3.5b,
  40.         an update to version 2.3.5 on disk 433, and fixes a
  41.         minor problem with some printers.  Shareware, binary only.

  44. Dme        Version 1.42 of Matt's text editor.  Dme is a simple 
  45.         WYSIWYG editor designed for programmers.  It is not a
  46.         WYSIWYG word processor in the traditional sense.  Features
  47.         include arbitrary key mapping, fast scrolling, title-line
  48.         statistics multiple windows, and ability to iconify windows.
  49.         Update to version 1.38 on disk number 284, includes source.

  64.         and news.  This is Matt's version for the Amiga, based
  65.         on William Loftus's Amiga UUCP 0.40 release with news

  67.         make fixes and add enhancements.  This is version 1.08D,
  68.         an update to version 1.06D on disk 360, and consists of
  69.         three parts.  Parts 1 and 2 are on this disk, and part 3
  70.         is on disk 443.  Includes source.

  80.         processor, C compiler, assembler, linker, and support
  81.         libraries.  Features include ANSI compatibility, many
  82.         code optimizations, and autoinit routines (user routines
  83.         called during startup before main is called).  This is
  84.         version 2.06.14, an update to version 2.02 on disk 359.

  104. ChinaChallenge    A game similar to Shanghai or Mahjong.  The goal is to
  105.         remove all parts of the pile, the so called Dragon, step
  106.         by step.  This dragon is composed of 120 different game
  107.         pieces.  You can always find four pieces displaying the
  108.         same picture or chinese symbols.  This is version II,
  109.         an update to the version on disk 312.  Changes include
  110.         some bug fixes, unlimited undo, saving and loading of
  111.         games, background music, title screen, etc.  Binary only.

  114. EliteBBS    An online message and file handling system.  Features
  115.         include a message base, private mail, file library,
  116.         support for xmodem, ymodem, and zmodem, fully buffered
  117.         serial I/O routines for top speed, time limits, and

  121. MissileCmd    A fast Missile Command game written in assembly.  Features
  122.         include using a hires interlaced screen, time based events
  123.         for correct operation on any speed Amiga, multitasking

  127. RegExpLib    Shared library that implements regular expression pattern
  128.         matching.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  131. UltraF-4    Demo version of a super graphic based floppy format program

  133.         format disks that other programs give up on.  Binary only.

  143.         access to typical streaming tape devices.  Includes source.

  146. OptMouse    A program which allows you to use a Mouse Systems M3 serial
  147.         mouse on the Amiga and instructions which allow a serial
  148.         mouse to be modified to plug directly into the Amiga mouse
  149.         port.  Useful as an example of how to "fake" mouse movements
  150.         and may be of use in writing drivers for digitizers, light
  151.         pens, and the like.  Includes source.

  154. Tar        A port of a UNIX tar clone that can work with the TAPE:

  159. TurboText    An almost fully operational demonstration copy of a new
  160.         sophisticated text editor for the Amiga.  Features many
  161.         unique capabilities including an impressive ARexx interface

  163.         clipboard support, complete reconfigurability, recorded
  164.         macros, programmer's calculator, emulations of many popular
  165.         text editors, and much more.  This demo version does not
  166.         allow saving or printing of documents and limits the size
  167.         of cut and paste operations.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  170. UUCP        A bug fix for UUCP 1.08 released on disks 442 and 443, which
  171.         had already been finalized at the time this fix reached me so
