This module provides a new mode for Zap featuring soft line-endings. This means that no actual linefeed-code (LF from now on) is placed in your text, unless you explicitly type it, eg. to end a paragraph. As a result your text will be automatically reformatted when you change it. Moreover, you can drag the text to a DTP program or similar, and your text will be neatly formatted, even if the column width is changed.
ZapSoftWrap usually resides in mode slot 7, so you can reach it through csF8. If another mode has claimed this slot earlier, ZapSoftWrap takes the next free slot. If this happens you may have to access the mode through the 'Mode->' menu.
To convert text with fixed LFs (such as this doc) to text with free lineendings, use the command REMOVELF. If you do this frequently, you may wish to bind it to a key, otherwise you can type it at the ^Escape 'Command:'-prompt. Converting back to fixed LFs is done by the DUMPFILE command, which is bound to csCopy by default. The REMOVELF command has recently been recoded completely. It is now much faster than before. However, the result of REMOVELF can no longer be undone by the UNDO command.
For the distribution of this module, the same rules apply as for distributing Zap, with the extension that you do not need to contact me before copying it if you have Dominic Symes permission to copy Zap. You may distribute the mode either with or without the sourcefile, but this helpfile may never be omitted. You may change ZapSoftWrap to your personal needs, but YOU MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE ALTERED VERSIONS.
