| !Help for !Unimode2 RISC OS 3
| © Hendrix Bros., 1994
| v2.00 22-May-1994
APPLICATION: UniMode2
PURPOSE: Edit/Create Screenmodes and VIDC
control
AUTHORS: Hendrix Bros., The Netherlands
LICENCE: PostWare (send us a nice picture-
postcard and your licenced!)
DISTRIBUTION: Copyright and distribution
conditions are laid down in the
file <UniMode$Dir>.Manuals.Notice
please read this file before use.
UniMode2 requires a machine with a harddisc.
Running the application requires approximately
200kB of available RAM.
RISC OS 3 v3.10 is required. To make the
application run on higher versions of the OS
refer to the manuals.
The module UniversalMode takes 6kB of RMA to run
independantely from the application and supports
the dynamically relocatable modes and VidcEnhancer
control.
UniMode2 allows creation and editing of screenmode
definitions. These definitions can be saved in a
so-called ModeDescriptionFile or MDF. An MDF is a
relocatable screenmode-definition and can be loaded
at the modenumber of YOUR choice. Additionally
UniMode2 allows full (improved) control over the
VidcEnhancer hardware (if installed).
The help-information provided with this application
is quite extensive. The sub-directory 'Manuals'
inside the application-directory contains all the
information you could wish for.
************************************************
Read the file 'Install' in this directory before
using the application.
************************************************
If you wish to make full use of this application
some knowledge about the VIDC may be beneficial.
When writing the manuals we have assumed that the
reader is familiar with the RISC OS 3 desktop and
that he/she has read the Welcome Guide and the
User Guide accompanying the machine. If you have
not done so, please read those documents and
familiarise yourself with the operational skills
and terminology described therein.
Please note that due to time-pressure the "PRM"
and "UserGuide" manuals are not complete/
up-to-date. With the documentation available you
should be able to get quite far. In case you have
some problems/questions/bugs please don't hesitate
to contact us.
Conform ACORN guidelines the application supports
the 3D-look as supplied with Acorn's !NewLook.
