  21. What is it ?

  23.     Tapefit is a simple(ish) utility that attempts to find the best possible
  24. arrangement of a given set of tracks on a cassette of a given length.  It
  25. will try to make both sides as full as possible, but leave the end of side 2
  26. blank if there are insufficient tracks to fill the whole tape.  If there are
  27. more tracks than will fit, the best fitting ones will be chosen.

  29. RISC OS 2
  30. ~~~~~~~~~
  31.     Although I haven't been able to test it, the command line program should
  32. run under RISC OS 2.  The Wimp front end is RISC OS 3+ only I'm afraid.
  33. If the tapefit executable won't run, you could always try recompiling the
  34. source under RISC OS 2.  If there's any demand, I'll write a RISC OS 2
  35. front end [I'll need someone with RO2 to test it].

  37. Command Line
  38. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  39.     Inside !TapeFit is the executable 'tapefit'.  This can be used without
  40. the front end, simply copy it to somewhere on your Run$Path (eg. your
  41. Library directory).  It's probably best to run tapefit in a taskwindow,
  42. so you can save the results to a file.  See the document 'CLusage'
  43. inside !TapeFit for details of command line usage.
