- History of !Sound RM
- ==================================================
- Version 1.00 13/2/93
-
- I have often felt the need for a program which
- would allow me to just "drag" a Voice Module to
- an Icon and listen to the sound, to see if it was
- what I wanted. Without having to load it, change
- channelvoice, and work out a sound to use it with.
-
- This was the result.
-
- Version 1.00 allows the dragging of a Voice Module
- to the Iconbar Icon and it should play a single
- sample back promptly. If an non-voice Module is
- dragged, it will cause an error and the module is
- not loaded. As the program stands, it will accept
- most Voice Generators providing the string "Voice"
- is found as the start of the Help string.
-
- Such applications as Oak-Recorder, !SoundLab and
- !QuickSnd all save in suitable formats for this.
-
- All copyrights freely acknowledged.
-
- Version 1.01 14/2/93
-
- Now instead of using the default voice channel, it
- uses Voice 2, so if you have your own sample set up
- on voice 1, as I do, this will not alter it. It
- now loads in Oak Recorder Voices as saved from
- Oak's !SoundLab software.
-
- Version 1.02 17-Feb-1993
-
- Now, instead of you being limited to what I think is
- the best sound for the Module, you may alter it to
- please yourself by clicking MEMU over the Icon Bar
- Icon, and following Sound off to the right and enter
- your own value. This can be in Decimal or Hex (&)
- and the values accepted lie between 1 and &10000.
- Regain (my) default by clicking ADJUST which also
- sounds the Module. Click SELECT to hear it at what
- ever the value you have entered in the writeable
- box.
-
- Version 1.03 19-Feb-1993
-
- Oops. If a program was run that changed the number
- of voices in use, this stopped !SoundRM from working
- This has been "fixed". Also, now when you press
- RETURN after entering a new sound value, the sample
- is played at your new value.
-
- Version 1.04 10-Mar-1993
-
- Just a silly addition, check the Info Box, Mode 15
- is best. Yes, it is me, in a Formula First racing
- car thanks to the Micro User and the 4th Dimension.
