  4. This application does what it says - it displays 
  5. Targa or PPM files (as output by the excellent PD 
  6. Raytracer POV) in the desktop, and will also display 
  7. deep sprites on pre-RiscOS 3.5 machines.
  8.  
  9. An icon is installed on the iconbar. Double-Clicking on
  10. on a Targa (or a PC file,with /TGA or /PPM extension) will 
  11. open a window displaying that picture. Deep sprites 
  12. must be dragged to the icon or any of its windows 
  13. to be loaded.

  15. Closing the window removes the picture from memory.
  16. The icon bar menu allows all the windows to be 
  17. closed easily.

  19. Each window has a menu, allowing each picture to be 
  20. zoomed independently, and the picture to be saved
  21. as a sprite, in 16M colours in RiscOS 3.5 or better,
  22. or in 256 colours.

  24. Although these files can be displayed using ChangeFSI,
  25. that uses a lot of memory (between 320K and 508K WimpSlot)
  26. - !ShowTga runs in a 32K WimpSlot - and will only 
  27. display one picture at a time, while I often want to 
  28. compare several versions - hence this program!

  30. The program needs the Toolbox modules - available from 
  31. Acorn ftp as part of the C/C++ upgrade1 archive or Argonet ftp.
