  10. RTF Writer is a program to convert a standard !Edit file into an RTF Version 1 file.
  11. The RTF file can be imported directly into any wordprocessor which can read RTF, on the
  12. Archimedes, Macintosh, PC, etc without any further modification.
  13. This program represents the first step toward a more useful RTF tool.

  15. Using RTFWriter
  16. ===============

  18. To launch RTFWriter, just double-click on the !RTFWriter icon which will then
  19. appear on the right hand side of the icon bar.
  20.  
  21. To convert a text file into an RTF file, simply drag the file onto the icon bar 
  22. !RTFWriter icon. The program executes automatically and displays a file save dialog
  23. for dragging into a directory window. The new file contains the RTF data. A 
  24. report window is opened when the program executes which is used to show any information
  25. or error messages.

  34.         Quit -> quits the RTFWriter application

  37. Limitations

  40. The RTFWriter generates an RTF using the Macintosh character set.
  41.  
  42. RTFReader has not been tested under RISC OS 2.
