  7. Basically, this is a very small application that adds another hot key to 
  8. your system, via a very small task.
  9.  
  10. When activated, this program refreshes the screen. 
  11.  
  12. Why would you want to do this? 
  13.  
  14. On a RiscPC, some nasty programs (especially WIMP Libraries)
  15. decide that they do not like you having a nice anti - aliased desktop font,
  16. so revert  you to the system font. This can be cured by pressing F12 and
  17. return,  but I got fed up with doing this all of the time. Also, some
  18. dubious applications  decide to revert your nice, high resolution display
  19. gadgets (eg. the -> icon on filer windows) back to boring low res.  This
  20. kills any offending sprites and replaces them with the original ones :¬ )

  22. Now all you have to do to get the desktop font back, and nice sprites, is 
  23. press the  right ALT key and F12, and the screen will be refreshed.

  25. To make this load automatically on a RiscPC, Press Shift and double click 
  26. on the !Boot application in the root directory of your hard disc. 
  27. Now double click on Choices, then Boot, then Tasks. You should then drag 
  28. the !RPCUtil icon into the Tasks directory that has been opened. Next time 
  29. you start up your machine, !RPCUtil will be automatically loaded.

  31. Sorry the Sprites look a bit naff in low res modes!
