  1. This is !QTHloc_GC, version 1.00 (3 Jan 1992).

  4. The program is intended to be a "Pop-Up" calculator
  5. for conversions between any of the following:
  6.  
  7.      QTH locator (Maidenhead, eg IO92AB)
  8.      National Grid Reference (NGR, eg TQ123456)
  9.      Longitude & Latitude (deg, min, sec etc)
  10.  
  11. Two areas of the calculator are available in which 
  12. to enter one of the above:
  13.  
  14.              Home reference
  15.              Distant station
  16.  
  17. A value typed into any of the entry boxes will,
  18. when the adjacent OK box is clicked, result in the
  19. other boxes in that area being updated with the
  20. corresponding values. The other boxes in the area
  21. being edited will be blanked if the entry was
  22. invalid.

  24. If valid entries exist in both the Home and Distant
  25. areas, then Great Circle path calculations are 
  26. performed to provide the distance and bearing of the
  27. distant station from the home reference. These are
  28. displayed in the Great Circle Path area.

  31. Notes:

  33.   All parts of long/lat must be filled in
  34.   before the corresponding OK box is clicked.

  36.   The E/W & N/S boxes are simply toggled between the
  37.   values by pointing and clicking.

  39.   Locator & NGR may be entered by pressing return.
  40.  
  41.   Entries cannot be made in the Great Circle Path
  42.   area.
