  3. This program is Shareware.
  4. This means that you can copy this program to anyone you like, but if you
  5.    find the program useful, you should register, as explained below. This
  6.    entitles you to the latest version of this program, and of all my other
  7.    applications.

  18. Purpose
  19. -------
  20. An application which calculates the interest on a variable sum of money
  21. throughout the year, at varying rates of interest.

  24. To use
  25. ------
  26. Double click on the icon in the filer window to load the application. This
  27. will install an icon on the icon-bar. Clicking menu on this icon will allow
  28. you to look at the info about the program, to save the file, and to quit. To
  29. actually get the program to do what it is supposed to, click select on the
  30. icon to open up the main window or double click a previously saved file in
  31. a filer window. A file can also be dragged from a filer window onto the
  32. icon on the icon-bar. Either way, the main window will open. The window has
  33. two sections. The left section is the area for the details about the
  34. interest rates. Click select on one of the icons to enter a percentage rate
  35. or the day it was introduced. The right section of the main window is the
  36. area regarding the account details. Here it is necessary to enter details of
  37. how much money was paid in and when. The dates MUST be in the format '1
  38. January' (without the quotes). Case is irrelevent, however, and the program
  39. only looks at the three leftmost characters - i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May,
  40. Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec. Spacing is also not important, so
  41. '1    January' would give the same result as '1 January' and as '1Jan', etc.
  42. To save the file, click menu (the middle mouse button) on the main window or
  43. on the icon on the icon bar. Go down to 'Save' and across. Here type in the
  44. filename you wish to give your file, either specifying a full pathname, or
  45. dragging the icon from the window to a filer window.

  56. To register, send £5 to me, at the address shown below, stating what version
  57. of which programs you have. You can enclose your own disk for the programs,
  58. and if you do so you can deduct 50p from the price. Registering entitles you
  59. to upgrade to later versions of the same programs and to get new programs
  60. for the price of £1. Any additional contributions from overseas towards
  61. postage would be greatly appreciated.
