  7. ViewImage is a simple viewer application for 'ImagePic' files. Once seen by
  8. the filer, when you double click on an ImagePic file the file will be
  9. displayed on screen.

  11. Best used in a mode with >= 256 colours.

  14. ViewImage is Freeware and may be freely distributed subject to the following:

  16.   • It is not charged for.

  18.   • It is supplied in full.

  21. The ImagePic filetype is the picture file format for 'Image' allowing Image to
  22. save pictures with full colour infomation (24 bit) and masking information.

  24. 'Image' is a SHAREWARE image processing package which offers the following:
  25.  
  26.   • Processing to full 24 bit accuracy on any RISC OS 3 machine
  27.   
  28.   • Can handle pictures too large to fit into memory by use of hard disc
  29.   
  30.   • Colour Range operations, inc. brighten, darken, gamma correction,
  31.     user defined operations on intensity, or RGB components.
  32.     
  33.   • Kernel (Filter) Operations, inc. sharpen, smooth, edge detection,
  34.     embossing, noise removal, and user defined operations.
  35.     
  36.   • Image resizing, inc. cropping, enlarging, rescaling (with or without
  37.     bi-linear interpolation).
  38.     
  39.   • Merge two pictures using a variety of methods.
  40.   
  41.   • Masking, allowing you to protect any areas of a picture from operations.
  42.   
  43.   • Painting operations, inc. brushes, spray can, shapes, and text (outline
  44.     fonts).

  46.   • Rotation about any angle, about any point.
  47.   
  48.   • Warping (any quadrilateral area onto any other quadrilateral area).

  50.   • SIRDS creation (create your own Single Image Random Dot Stereograms,
  51.     or Picture Auto-Stereograms). Plus drop shaddow effect.

  53.   • Loads and Saves many formats, inc. Sprites, ImagePic, Clear Files,
  54.     JPEGs, TIFFs, PBMPlus (PGM & PPM), and loads GIFs.

  57. Demo versions of Image are available from many PD libraries. The full version
  58. is available direct from me by registering. The cost is £12 and with that you
  59. also are registered as a user of Thumbnail a picture library program which
  60. allows you to build up a library of thumbnail versions of picture files, draw
  61. files and Artworks files within a filer like environment, with searching
  62. facilities. Thumbnail is also SHAREWARE (£5 registration on its own, plus
  63. a formatted 3.5in disc and 50p return p&p (£1 for outside UK)) and is
  64. also available from many PD libraries or direct from me (with registration).
