  6. Introduction
  7. ------------
  8. If you have Filer+Patch, you may want to change the font without all that
  9. tedious mucking about on the command line. Therefore, you may like to use
  10. this application to select the fonts that you like.

  13. Usage
  14. -----
  15. Run it.
  16. Click Menu on the FilerFont icon and select a font from the Fonts menu.

  19. How it works
  20. ------------
  21. Well, it's a *very* simply hacked version of the program I use on our
  22. multi-user system, so expect to see calls to AreaLibrary which are not used
  23. inside it. Basically, it just uses the Font calls to create a menu and then
  24. uses that information to set the Filer$Font variable.

  27. Help and message files
  28. ----------------------
  29. This application is fully !Help compliant and it is recommended that when
  30. getting to grips with it the help should be used if only to give it some
  31. purpose! It also supports the use of MessageTrans and therefore translation
  32. to another language or changing the messages for the fun of it is much easier
  33. than it might have been.

  36. <BasicLibrary$File>
  37. -------------------
  38. This application requires Justin Fletcher's JFShared library to function.
  39. This can be obtained from Arcade and possibly other bulletin boards. I have
  40. seen QuickHelp on Digital Databank, so it is possible that JFShared exists
  41. there also. JFShared is also currently being carried by Hensa and can be
  42. obtained from Justin's website.

  45. Compatibility
  46. -------------
  47. This application has been tested on the author's A5000, but due to the lack
  48. of friends with Acorns has not been tested on other systems. Therefore, it
  49. ought to work on any RO3.1 machine, and with a RO2 machine if it is
  50. recognised in JFShared and uses no specific RO3 features.
