  6. What is it?

  9. Faster action adds lots of nice little buttons to filer action windows to enable you to click and select the faster, confirm, verbose, force and newer options

  14. Once the program is loaded and the splash box has disappeared then you will find a row of icons along the top of filer action windows, clicking on these will select the various options, eg, 'Faster' selects faster, 'Confrm' selects confirm and so on.

  16. NB: If you deselect the verbose option with the 'Verb' button then the window will disappear!

  18. Problems

  21. This program is not really suitable for use from a floppy disc, because it needs to be able to find it's templates all the time. If you haven't got a hard disc either buy one, or run it from the RAM disc.

  23. Faster action doesn't take account of weather the option is available or not, this means that it is possible to have the confirm option on while counting!!

  28. 1.00 - First version

  30. 1.01 - Corrected problem with intro screen acidentally wiping your hard disc sometimes (beleive me I only found out the HARD way). Also had reports of machine locking up when you quit a filer window. I have been unable to reproduce this problem so I assume that it is because the program uses 3D templates and there is a bug in Risc OS which needs the 'BorderUtils' module, this is now loaded. (This has been confirmed and the program now works correctly!)

  32. 1.02 - You can now select all the options from the main window, which has had a slight re-design

  34. 1.03 - Risc PC friendlyfied, it doesn't put rubbish in the faster icon and it also doesn't load the BorderUtils module on the Risc PC.

  36. 1.04 - Erm, I just noticed that there was no !Sprites file!

  38. 1.05 - It now uses the correct amount of memory, so it only takes up about 12k on a Risc PC/A7000/machine with small page size (eg 1 mb ROS 3.1)
