  3.   DiscScan must not be run from inside an archive.
  4.  
  5. !Update ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.  
  7.   If you already had a copy of DiscScan then you will need to run the Update program as the internal file format has changed. Take a backup copy just in case.
  8.  
  9.     Drag your copy of DiscScan to the top icon.
  10.     Drag the new version of DiscScan to the bottom icon.
  11.     Click on Update with the right hand mouse button.
  12.     There will be errors reported if there is not enough disc space for the
  13.       update program to update files. You will need to free some space and try
  14.       again. DO NOT RUN THE COPY OF DISCSCAN IT IS NOT COMPLETE.

  16. !Magazines ---------------------------------------------------------------------

  18.   Magazines is a program which has a collection of magazine cover discs stored in it so that they can be installed in to DiscScan (version 0.90+) and save you time scanning your collection.
  19.   At present there are;

  21.       Acorn User         October 93  to December 95
  22.       Acorn Computing    May 93      to March 95
  23.       Archimedes World   February 93 to December 95
  24.  
  25.   The disc code is the month and year.  When there was more than one cover disc then it is followed by #1 or #2 at the begining is either AC, AU or AW for the magazine.
