  6. This is another public domain tool for Risc OS.
  7. It clones ADFS-discs (and only those) of each
  8. format - the result is a real backup, not only a
  9. copy of your files. That means, the tracks will be
  10. copied byte by byte. In some cases this will also
  11. duplicate discs with copy-protection. I'm sorry to
  12. some software-writers, but I can't avoid this now.
  13. There are following options available (you have to
  14. click the menu-button to pop up the menu-window):
  15.  
  16. Checkdisc  : verify the selected tracks,
  17.  
  18. TrackCopy  : copy the selected tracks.
  19.  
  20. SectorCopy : do the same as above - just deeper.
  21.  
  22. Get image  : create an image of your disc as file
  23.              specified in <DeepCopy$Dir>.imagefile.
  24.              Please note, that only selected tracks
  25.              are being copied.
  26.  
  27. Put image  : put back the image created with the
  28.              last option. Be careful, because on
  29.              the disc the image will start at the 
  30.              selected first track, not on the first
  31.              one used when getting the image (some
  32.              guys told me that makes sense, please
  33.              don't ask me why).

  35. Now, let's have a look at the other parameters and
  36. the use of some icons ...

  38. Clicking on the drive symbols will enable or disable
  39. them (if there is only one source drive this will
  40. always be active). While you can select any number
  41. of, of course configured, destination drives, you
  42. can only select one source drive at a time.
  43. Clicking on the arrows under "First track" and
  44. "Last track" with the left button will increase or
  45. decrease those tracks by one, using the right
  46. button by ten.

  48. The START-button will start the specified action.
  49. After clicking that one the button will change to
  50. an STOP-button with whom you can abort the current
  51. action. This button is also used when changing of
  52. discs is needed - it will prompt you to CONTINUE
  53. when ready.
  54. There is a status line on the bottom which always
  55. tells you what is done or what has to be done.

  57. Multiple copy means you can copy the selected tracks
  58. several times without reading the source each time
  59. before you want to copy the same tracks again.
  60. Please note, that this can only be done with as many
  61. tracks as will fit into free memory.

  63. If "Verify tracks" is selected, after each write the
  64. written track will be verified.

  66. To copy discs with read-errors or ignore any other
  67. errors while reading or writing you can select this
  68. option.

  70. Last not least you can pop up a small window which
  71. shows you the meaning of all symbols and leds which
  72. could appear while using DeepCopy II. To do this
  73. just click on the "!" beside the logo.

  75. To save the current settings as your defaults you
  76. can use the Save-option in the icon-bar-menu.
