  3. This application will take a text file (or a whole directory) and
  4. convert it into a format suitable for import into Impression II
  5. (v2.05).  This is necessary because the current version can not handle
  6. '{' characters, which abound in C / PASCAL source code.  It also
  7. performs some other filtering as well:
  8.  
  9.    Carriage returns (\x0d) are removed
  10.    Form feeds (\x0c) are converted to '{Nextframe}'
  11.    Bolded text (as produced by nroff/troff type programs) is put into a bold font
  12.    '`' are converted to sexed apostrophes
  13.    ''' are coverted to sexed apostrophes
  14.    CTRL-Z (\x1a) are removed {these are found on IBM files a lot}
  15.    '"' are properly sexed
  16.    '-' is converted into a true hyphen character (151)
  17.  
  18. All of these can be toggled on or off.
  19.  
  20. If a directory is dragged onto the icon bar icon (or the log window),
  21. then all text files inside the directory are processed.  This is
  22. recursive.  Because this may take a while, between each file, control
  23. is passed back to the wimp - so you may be able to get on with
  24. something else (like playing daleks).

  26. To summarise, if you don't have Impression, and you never want to
  27. input source code into it, then you can safely delete this program.
  28. Otherwise, you may find it usefull.  Have fun.
