  13. The Charges application is Shareware and has a small
  14. registration fee of £5. Unlike with much shareware,
  15. I am very happy for you to keep a copy of Charges
  16. (i.e. you do not have to destroy it after a certain
  17. trial period), but I do ask that if you use it with
  18. any regularity, you register your copy with me.

  30. I retain the copyright of the Charges application at
  31. all times. However, Charges may be copied and used
  32. freely, subject only to the following conditions:

  34. 1: You must not modify or delete any of the files;
  35. i.e. the entire application must remain intact and
  36. unaltered, with the exception of the files marked
  37. with an asterisk (*) in the following list.

  68.   The files marked * are configuration files which
  69.   may be modified and added to. The files in the
  70.   Messages directory may not be modified but may be
  71.   added to. See the documentation file 'Messages'
  72.   for details.

  74.   There may also be a file called 'Exchanges', which
  75.   contains exchange rates between currencies. If you
  76.   receive such a file with the program, you should
  77.   probably delete it, as it is unlikely to be
  78.   applicable to you, and may possibly cause some
  79.   confusion. Charges will maintain a new file for
  80.   you automatically if you let it.

  83.   except for those otherwise marked.

  85. 2. No distribution charge should be made for Charges
  86. except to cover the cost of the PD/Shareware disc
  87. itself and a small duplication fee. However, an
  88. additional charge made as a charity donation by such
  89. establishments as Norwich Computer Services is quite
  90. acceptable.

  92. 3. You may use the Charges program on an occasional
  93. basis without obligation, but if you do use it
  94. regularly, please register your copy with me.

  96. Registered owners may send me a disc and ask for an
  97. upgrade, which (assuming there is one) I will send
  98. by return of post. If there is no upgrade, I will of
  99. course return the disc, probably with some Public
  100. Domain software on it. I will endeavour to cure any
  101. bugs which are reported to me as quickly as I can.
