  1. This is !Brownian, version 1.31  (19 Feb 1996)
  2.  
  3. This is a simulation of the so called Brownian Motion. This phenomenen can
  4. be viewed for real by looking at smoke particles with a microscope. The 
  5. smoke particles have to be illuminated from the side. They generally travel
  6. along in a straight line until they are hit by the invisible tiny air
  7. molecules. These are light, but move very fast, so they jolt the smoke in
  8. different directions, when they actually collide.

  10. This is much quicker to set up than the real thing, and more reliable, if not
  11. quite so exciting.

  13. Please look at the file Credits, obtained by pressing down <shift> while double
  14. clicking on the !Brownian icon in the filer window. This gives information
  15. about the excellent !EvntShell development system, without which I could not
  16. have written this.
