  1. The future of FracPaint

  4. Only if a reasonable number of users decide to become a registered
  5. FracPaint user, I will continue to develop this program.
  6.  
  7. The following things can be expected in future releases:
  8.  
  9. - Faster computations.
  10. - Formula editor. This means that any complex formula can be entered and
  11.   edited to have access to an unlimited number of formulas and images.
  12. - Control over all other parameters used by FracPaint (such as colour
  13.   methods). This means the user has more control over the image generated
  14.   by FracPaint.
  15. - Suspend and continue image calculation. This means that an image which
  16.   will take (very) long time to complete can be calculated in parts (the
  17.   computer can be turned off, and the image can be completed at another
  18.   moment).
  19. - Virtual memory for very large images. This means that very large images
  20.   can be generated.
  21. - Output of calculation results for all points. These results can be used
  22.   by both the user, and the program. In this way, an image has only to be
  23.   calculated once, to experiment with the colour method, colour range,
  24.   and other parameters, which currently need a total redraw of the image.
  25. - 3-dimensional computation. A (currently 2d) image can be transformed
  26.   to a 3d-image, in a number of different ways.
