  7. It is useful if you don't have another utility (e.g. Menon) that does this as

  16. Double-click on !FlashCar, or put it in your boot sequence (this method is
  17. recommended, which is one reason there's no icon). To change the on/off periods
  18. (both are 30/100ths sec. by default), change the values of FlasherCar$On and
  19. FlasherCar$Off in the !Run file.

  22. Why I wrote it

  25. When I switched from Menon to Director, I wanted to retain the flashing caret
  26. feature of Menon. The !Flasher application that comes with the Risc PC does this
  27. as well, but is written in BASIC, and does other things I don't want. I took it
  28. apart to find out how it worked and wrote a small machine-code version, which
  29. takes less processor time and memory.
