  2. ‘yermassa’ is a word of the language of an old and wise culture
  3. it means: yet another type setter to clog up your icon bar
  4.  
  5. it all started with the idea that it would be nice to have a list
  6. of file types hanging off filer's 'File.Set type' menu. i think
  7. filer+ does this, but it has more features i don't like than the
  8. other way round. the idea would be simple to implement without
  9. patching the filer module if the 'Set type' item generated the
  10. 'menu warning' message. unfortunately, it doesn't. so it (the idea)
  11. ended as a quick BASIC wimp-app-hack (most of the routines i already
  12. had - code reusability). because the menu-building is a little bit
  13. slow (BASIC, names must be sorted) i intended to make it a module.
  14. but then, starfighter 3000 came out and i just had the time to post
  15. yermassa to hensa ...

  26. Options… > go ⇨ or click to get the options dialog
  27. Select   > go ⇨ to get the list of known filetypes to select from
  28. Enter    > go ⇨ to get a writeable to enter a filetype into

  50. window the icon was dropped over are 'ignored'; this implies that
  51. yermassa doesn't recurse to settype files down (up?) the dir tree
