  4. This is a list of the tools that you need
  5. to write wimp programs.
  6.  
  7. File Editor:
  8.  !Edit will do but
  9.  !Zap is un-beatable and
  10.  !StrongED is good
  11.  
  12.  Both are available from most PD libraries or
  13.  direcot from Software7
  14.  
  15. Template Editor:
  16.  !Glazier is Free Ware and is pretty good,
  17.  !TemplEd is Free Ware and is excellent
  18.  !FormEd is crap
  19.  
  20.  There are several commercial editors bu these 
  21.  are over-priced compared to those mentioned
  22.  above.
  23.  
  24. Sprite Editors:
  25.  !Paint The only program to do the job.
  26.  
  27. Wimp Monitors:
  28.  wimp monitors are programs that have a few 
  29.  windows displaying information about the
  30.  mous pointer, button states, the current
  31.  window & icon flags etc...
  32.  These are'nt essential but quite handy.
  33.  
  34.  There are loads & loads of these but,
  35.  !WimpFlags is one of the best. This is Free Ware
  36.  and is available through the PD or from us.

  38. !StrongHelp
  39.  
  40.  This program is supplied with !StrongED, it is a hyper-
  41.  text like program with loads & loads of information
  42.  on BASIC commands Asembler Mnemonics and details of
  43.  hundereds of SWI calls.
  44.  
  45.  This is (was) Free Ware and can be fond along with
  46.  !StrongEd in most PD libraries or from us.
  47.  There is an add on for it (which is PD) that provides 
  48.  help on the WimpExtension's commands, validation
  49.  strings and SWI calls.
