General:
=======
Ejones is a tel/addr book with basic search & find faciltities, the ability to save in
CSV or Text file formats and also the ability to have customised font field headers.
The program also has several menus of common Towns and Countries, to save you typing them
in! {Press MENU over the town/country fields}
This new look version of Ejones is but the first. Updates will
be forthcoming; and the program will remain freeware!
The program:
===========
After loading in the normal way, the Ejones icon will appear on the iconbar and the
control window will be opened. The options here are as follows:
[Single clicking with select]
Open the database - Opens the first record of the database.
Search - Search the database for a string {also available from the browse window}
Options - Opens the options window, from which field fonts and saving parameters can be set.
Detailed info:
=============
Inside the records windows are a row of small icons.
These are, from the left:
Add new record- click on this for a new record.
Search - Opens search window - Search records for a string.
Options - Alter the font settings; only takes effect on next new field
Browse left - Go back one record (if possible)
Browse right - Go forward one record
(if an error is encountered similar to "Record/Page <Ejones$Frames>.7 Not Found", you haven't gotany more records - create some more)
To enter data just click on the white field boxes. The display fonts can be set from the options
window.
Clicking MENU over some of the icon (white) boxes will bring up a menu containing a list of place/Country/County names. Clicking on a name will enter that name, in full, into the appropriate box
To SAVE data, in a plain text file format simply click MENU in the window of the record that you want saved. Drag the text file icon to a disc window as normal. The Name/Address will be saved
out for use in letters and the like.
!!CSV saving hasn't yet been finished and so is not yet available!!
Misc:
====
In the options window the header font settings as yet have no effect. This setting is waiting
for implementation in the next version.
The save as CSV function also does not have any effect.
