  3. How often do you find yourself browsing through the
  4. DeskLib header files when you want to use the DeskLib
  5. library? Since I've just started using DeskLib, I
  6. thought a better way to access the documentation would
  7. be very usefull. As !Zap now also supports the
  8. wonderfull !StrongHelp help system, I've edited the
  9. DeskLib headers into a DeskLib help library.

  11. To make !StrongHelp use the help data on DeskLib:
  12.   1. Run !StrongHelp
  13.   2. Double-click on the !DLHelp icon
  14.  
  15. You can also copy the "DeskLib" directory inside
  16. !DLHelp into !StrongHelp's "HelpData".
  17.  
  18. There can be problems when DeskLib function names exist
  19. in other Help libraries too, ie. you get help on
  20. SWI Wimp_Poll instead of DeskLib's Wimp_Poll. This
  21. won't be a problem when you select the help pages from
  22. the DeskLib menu entry of !StrongHelp's iconbar menu.

  24. Alternatively you can turn !DLHelp into a stand-alone
  25. application by merging !DLHelp's helpfiles in the
  26. sub-dir DeskLib and !StrongHelp's except the helpfiles.
  27. But then you don't have help on SWI's 8-(

  29. Note that I just edited the existing documentation of
  30. DeskLib 2.04 to make it more easily accessable. All the
  31. intelligent work was done by the DeskLib coders and
  32. Guttorm Vik. Refer to the DeskLib and !StrongHelp
  33. documentation for the legal status of this information.

  35. Note: There could be (and probably are) some typos left,
  36.       so when in doubt, check the DeskLib headers!
