  1. This new version will accept text files or data files with
  2. separators of comma, or TAB. It will also strip "" from
  3. around text fields - certain spreadsheets differentiate text
  4. from numerical data by enclosing it in quotes.

  6. When loading a file which is not native chartdraw type it
  7. must be dragged either to the iconbar icon or to the edit
  8. window. Chartdraw will only respond to a double click on a
  9. chartdraw type file. Files which chartdraw will attempt to
  10. load are text (&FFF), data (&FFD) and CSV (&DFE). When
  11. loading these "foreign" formats an error box will open,
  12. asking whether the file contains what I am currently calling
  13. header information. This refers to the main title and
  14. sub-title fields. If the file does then click OK. If not
  15. click on NO. The file will then be treated assuming only the
  16. labels and up to four data fields are present. Have a look
  17. at the new format data files on the disc.

  19. There are some new editing features. You can delete a column
  20. of data from the edit window menu. CTRL/SHIFT/COPY will
  21. delete the current ROW of data and close up the gap.
  22. CTRL/SHIFT/INSERT will insert a blank row ready for new data
  23. to be inserted.
