  1. ChangeFSIX adds a new feature to ChangeFSI: you can specify
  2. which filetypes cause it to be run, and which are loaded by
  3. it if it's running. You can also easily specify DOS mappings
  4. and textual filetypes and the same time.
  5.  
  6. In other words, you can configure it, by typing in just a
  7. single line in a special choices file to (for example):
  8.  
  9. Map DOS extension /BMP to Risc OS filetype 69C (Bitmap)
  10.   - this means that when reading a DOS disc, all files
  11.     with /BMP extension appear to Risc OS to be Bitmap
  12.     files rather than DOS files.
  13.  
  14. Set ChangeFSI to automatically be loaded if a bitmap file
  15.     is double-clicked, and process the file.
  16.  
  17. Set ChangeFSI to automatically load a bitmap file if the
  18.     file is double-clicked when ChangeFSI is already
  19.     loaded.
  20.  
  21. Make sure that filetype 69C is given the textual equivalent
  22.     'Bitmap'.

  26. So: to install this patch, read the file Installing, and then
  27. to set it up for your own needs, read the file Manual.

  29. Note that if you specify a filetype that CFSI cannot handle,
  30. then ChangeFSI will crash, as the only checks it performs is
  31. to see if it can load it, which includes the details as in the
  32. patch. If it can't actually handle it, it will crash, so take
  33. care.
