Acquiring the package:
Download the zip archive file(s) and extract using SparkPlug 2
(see the "tools_help" file in micros/arch/riscos/tools for further info).
Note that the files are (unusually for HENSA) stored as ZIP archives
which means that they cannot be read by ArcFS. The latest version
of SparkPlug is required (or SparkFS which is commercial software).
Installation:
First you unpack DVIview, TeXBase1, TeXBase2, TeXFnts1, TeXFnts2,
TeXFnts3, TeXFnts4 and TeXFnts5 into the same directory. This is a
fairly minimal working setup. Next, if you want DaTeX, unpack that
into the same directory. This is a WIMP front end for TeX, SliTeX,
LaTeX and DVIview which some people like. Next, if you want LaTeX2e,
unpack that into the same directory. LGrind , BibTex, TeXExtr1 and
TeXExtr2 and the LaTeX source are for more knowledgable users.
Description:
TeX is a professional typesetting program used especially for
typesetting technical or mathematical material. LaTeX is a set of
macros for TeX that drastically reduce the work required to produce
high quality documents. This package contains an easy-to-install
version of TeX; you can start with a minimal setup and add features
as required.
The files in this package include:
TeXBase1, TeXBase2 - the basic TeX setup
TeXFnts1 - TeXFnts5 - fonts
PSFonts - fonts
DaTeX, SemTeX - desktop front-ends for TeX
DVIview - desktop viewer for TeX output files
dvips - convert TeX output files to PostScript
LaTeX2e - LaTeX 2e macros
LGrind, BibTeX - LGrind and BiBTeX
TeXExtr1, TeXExtr2 - extra TeX programs
TeXSrc1 - TeXSrc3 - TeX source code
L2eSrc1, L2eSrc2 - LaTeX source
dvipsSrc - dvips source code
