  2. What's New in Notepad 5.01
  3.  
  4. A couple of minor bugs were fixed. Notepad will install correctly now
  5. irregardless of the default disk setting on your S3a.
  6.  
  7. New Icons by Phil Creed
  8.  
  9. Misc New Features:
  10.         . Tasklist - Pressing Shift<tab> from either view brings up a tasklist.
  11.         . When erasing notes, you can now leave the Due Date alone.
  12.         . Overall better error handling. (so you don't have to call me.)
  13.  
  14. New Setting
  15.         . Default Drive for Expanding Notes - This lets you set the default
  16.           drive for expanding a note, so you don't need to choose a drive each
  17.           time.
  18.  
  19. Project Viewer:
  20.         . Added new feature - Tidy - This will remove Due Dates from the Project
  21.            Viewer Database, but not from the note itself.
  22.         . Added new feature - Write a Report of Past Due (writes to \Wrd)
  23.         . The top window in the Project Viewer is open by default now. You can
  24.           still press Tab to toggle it on and off.

  26. Text Editor Changes:
  27.         . Support for All characters.
  28.         . Added Calendar and Calculator to the menu
  29.         . Added Ctrl Shift<Del> to delete a word forward
  30.         . TaskList support via Shift<Tab>
  31.         . Bring now inserts data at the cursor
  32.         . Added new feature - Print Screen.

  34. Application Linking
  35.         . If you create a new link and the app is already running, Notepad will
  36.           correctly assign the link. (This was not working)
  37.  
  38. Help Engine
  39.         . Screens always stay open when going to backround while in Help.
  40.  
  41. Calendar
  42.         . Bug fix - The Calendar was highlighting today in two places.
  43.  
  44. Alarms / Alarm Server
  45.         .If the Alarm Server is busy, having been left in an open dialog,
  46.          Notepad correctly says "Alarm Server Busy". Press any key to
  47.          cancel. This stops the current operation. Go into the Alarm Server
  48.          and get it back to the main screen.
  49.  
  50.          The reason for this is because the Alarm Server and Notepad use the
  51.          same Alarm.dat file. Therefore both applications can't be using the
  52.          file at the same time.

  54. Custom Piorities:
  55.         Added Sort option. This was an oversight that it wasn't in 5.0.
  56.         Oh well, you can't have everything. :^}
  57.  
  58. Priority Fonts:
  59.         The Custom fonts have been changed. Larger priority fonts have been
  60.         added for use with the two larger fonts.
  61.  
  62. Log File Change
  63.         You can now Append/Overwrite the Log File. This lets you keep the same
  64.         Log File without overwriting it each time you print to Log. (File)
  65.  
  66. Bring
  67.         When using Bring, the text coming in gets inserted at the cursor, like
  68.         it should.

  70. New Utility
  71.         . Open Top Level Notepad - hotkey Psion<spacebar> opens top level.
  72.  
  73. Printing
  74.         . Printing Notepads now lets you set the numbers of lines per page.

  76. Top Level Indicator
  77.         . Notepad now shows a Top Level indicator when it is currently display-
  78.           ing a Top Level Notepad. The indicator is next to the Alm heading, and
  79.           it looks like an arrow facing upward.

  81. Fastnote
  82.         . Application has been fixed so that you can have it open while viewing
  83.           fastnote,exp in Notepad. However, you can't save a new note in Fastnote
  84.           while you have the fastnote.exp open in Notepad. If this does happen,
  85.           Fastnote will warn you that the file is busy, and give you a chance
  86.           to go into Notepad, change files, and go back to Fastnote.

  88.         . Modified the text editor to give an Exit Fastnote menu option when
  89.           calling the editor from Fastnote. In Notepad , you won't see this
  90.           option. This means that pressing Escape doesn't exit Fastnote anymore.
