Refer to the documentation for version 1.0, where everything still applies. This version has been slightly modified to be compatible with GUITARX.opa (see below).
GUITARX.opa
This application, which you should place in an \APP\ directory, is a simple system-screen file supporter for GUITAR 1.1 It is assumed that you have already installed and used GUITAR 1.1
YOU PROBABLY WON'T BOTHER TO INSTALL THIS APPLICATION if you use GUITAR 1.1 mainly for basic chord reference and don't create files for viewing.
YOU PROBABLY WILL WANT TO INSTALL THIS APPLICATION if you use GUITAR 1.1 a good deal for file creation and viewing. For example, you may among your files have one called HEAVEN containing all the chords to Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven, a song which you're learning and consequently can never remember the chords to. With this application you will be able to get straight at it.
Basically GUITARX allows you to view files directly from the system screen rather than having to acccess them from the main program.
INSTALLATION: Remove the GUITAR.opa icon from the system screen (Psion-Y) and replace it with GUITARX.opa, under whose suspiciously similar icon your list of files, if there are any, will appear. When you press the enter key with the highlight over any of these, you will be presented with a dialog choice : (1) View file (2) Main program. Presumably you will use GUITARX mainly to view files as mentioned above, so just click the enter key again and you'll be straight there. Otherwise choose the main program option.
You can only view (and delete) files from the system screen. To create them, add to them and search through them, you have to go into the main program.
I hope you agree that having a separate opa for system-screen file support, and it's tiny in terms of memory, is the best method in this case. It offers a choice. If you don't want or need a list of files under the GUITAR icon, then keep the GUITAR.opa installed. If you do require the list, then simply install GUITARX.opa instead.
