  5.                  Agenda File for the Psion Series 3a
  6.  
  7. Having seen the U.S. public holiday Agenda file by Jaime Pereira for
  8. the Series 3 and the 3a upgrade by Michael Geary, I thought that we 
  9. could do with an equivalent over here in the UK. So I shamelessly set
  10. about cribbing their idea (and even this text file!) and converting
  11. it to UK dates. I'm afraid it is Series 3a only, as the 3a Agenda
  12. files are not downwardly compatible with the basic Series 3.
  13.  
  14. This file contains the sort of entries you would expect to find in 
  15. your average diary: bank holidays, summer times, religious dates 
  16. etc, from the year 1994 to 2005. Bank holidays are marked for England
  17. and Wales only, though I have included some significant Scottish, Welsh 
  18. and Irish dates to keep everyone happy! At present I cannot find out 
  19. whether the proposed new bank holiday for the Autumn instead of May Day 
  20. is going ahead, but that does not affect 1994 anyway. I could also only
  21. find out summer times for 1994 and 1995.

  24. The Year View symbol varies with the different dates:
  25.  
  26.   H for bank holidays.
  27.   A for for St. Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday and Father's Day.
  28.     (If you forget one of these you will be in the same kind of trouble
  29.      as if you forget your anniversary!)
  30.   S for British Summer Times
  31.   None for other dates.

  64. To use HOLI-UK.AGN, copy it into an \AGN directory and then use the
  65. Merge In command in Agenda to merge it into your main Agenda file.
  66. Select Entries in the Merge In dialog, so only the entries are merged
  67. and not the preferences.

  69. I have checked everything pretty thoroughly, but if there are any 
  70. errors or important omissions, or if anyone has any idea about summer 
  71. times or the new Autumn Bank Holiday, then please let me know.
