This package is based on Infocom Task Force Interpreter, the sources for
which are available by FTP from remus.rutgers.edu and ftp.cse.unsw.edu.au
[149.171.16.16] in the /pub/infocom directory. Note that this contains only
the original sources, and is almost certainly available from a closer FTP
site.
Formal Systems (Europe) Ltd made it possible to port the interpreter to the
Psion by letting me use company compilers and equipment "out of hours."
The bulk of the work on the original Psion version was done under software
PC-emulation on an Acorn Archimedes.
Dominic Symes' incredible !Zap made editing the C source code much easier and
faster.
Paul Gardiner's lightweight wimp library made it possible to get early ports
to the Acorn running much more quickly.
DeskLib 2.03/2.04 made it possible to polish up the interface without driving
Paul to distraction with feature requests.
The quality of both the JPI TopSpeed compiler and Psion's Series3 libraries
made it possible to shoehorn this application into the Series3.
Finally, thanks must also go to the numerous members of the Oxford Archimedes
User Group who first persuaded me to track down the ITF sources and suffered
through my very early Acorn ports, beta-tested my early Psion ports at every
opportunity (thanks Robin!) and finally complained enough about the existing
interpreters to persuade me to port back to the Acorn.
