  3. Welcome to the Blackhawk CDROM!
  4.  
  5. The Blackhawk Windows 95 collection is a CDROM of shareware and
  6. freeware collected from ftp.cdrom.com on the internet.  It has been
  7. carefully sorted so that you may easily find all the utilities and
  8. applications that are available.

  19. utils\w16view.exe   File Browser for Windows 3.1.

  29. Quick Start Instructions:
  30.  
  31.   Windows 3.1/NT:
  32.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  33.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  34.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
  35.  
  36.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  37.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  38.     Example:
  39.           C:\> D:
  40.           D:\> view
  41.  
  42.   Windows 95:
  43.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  44.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  45.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  46.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  47.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.

  49. Using the 00_INDEX.HTM:
  50.  
  51. We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web browser
  52. to view our disc.
  53.  
  54. In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point your
  55. Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.
  56.  
  57. For example, in Netscape/Mosaic:
  58.  
  59.         1) Choose File/Open File (or File/Open Local File with Mosaic)
  60.         2) Choose your CDROM Drive under "Drives"
  61.         3) Select the 00_index.htm file
  62.         4) Click on OK
  63.  
  64. The 00_index.htm files have been tested under Netscape 1.1 (Windows,
  65. Macintosh, and FreeBSD), Netscape 1.22 (Windows), Netscape 2.0b2,
  66. Mosaic 2.00 (Final Beta), and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  70. WinView and View
  71.  
  72. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
  73. for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs
  74. allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
  75. CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want
  76. onto your hard disk.

  80. Shareware

  82. This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can
  83. be considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are
  84. expected to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the
  85. program or image useful.  You will find details of registration
