- LEARN BY DOING EXERCISES
-
- Fastfile has ready-to-use examples. Three learn-by-doing exercises
- demonstrate cursor movement with data and command entry. You'll
- "clone" a file, search for specific information and then edit it.
- You'll learn how to print to the screen, printer, or disk. The
- FASTquiz exercise provides a summary and shows you how to make
- your own quizzes.
-
-
- A MENU IS ALWAYS DISPLAYED (IN RED) AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH SCREEN.
- WHEN SEARCHES ARE SPECIFIED THE SELECTION CHOICES (*WLD ?ANY >,
- etc) ARE DISPLAYED (see example below).
-
- *WLD ?ANY <LESS = >GRTR <>NOT EQ <= >=
- Find=F1 Total=F3 LastRecd=F4 GotoADD=F6 Help=F10 Exit=Esc
-
-
- Always keep your eyes on these lines! They always show commands
- FASTFILE will accept!
-
- Each exercise starts with step (a) and proceeds through the
- alphabet. You'll work them all in a few minutes. They assume you
- have installed FASTFILE as shown above. The SELECTION menu should
- be displayed.
