Marcus Bowcott is an artist born in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1951. He holds a Master of Arts degree, and has instructed art at Capilano College and Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver.
Scope and content
The collection, entitled "Palimpsest," consists of one page of textual material by Marcus Bowcott "A proposal to grunt gallery and Heffel Fine Art Auction House: Palimpsest," by Marcus Bowcott, and two colour photocopies, 21.5 x 28 cm, representing a bull with a projection of a cave painting of a bull on its flank, all presented in a black paper folder with a business card of the artist.
