Jin-me Yoon is an artist born in Seoul, Korea, in 1960. She studied at the University of British Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, at Emily Carr College of Art and Design. receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and at Concordia University, receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree.
Scope and content
The collection consists several articles of clothing and related material, including a used receiving blanket, a newborn gown, stained at the neck, a cotton diaper, two stained cotton nursing pads, one pair newborn socks, a small gift box with a photographic inlay, and a hand crocheted newborn cap with ear flaps, as well as some textual material including a brochure "Breastfeeding Your Baby," an information sheet "The New Parent: A Spectrum of Postpartum Adjustment," and a catalogue titled "Fertile Ground."
