Sonja Ahlers is a visual artist born in Victoria, British Columbia in 1971. She studied at Camosun College, and at Victoria College of Art.
Scope and content
The work, entitled "Work Book" by Sonja Ahlers consists of an artist's book, fifty pages in mixed media, 19 x 33 cm, containing images collected by the artist since 1988, correspondence, photoprints, scrapbook elements, and parts of a diary.
Note
The artist observed that "It's really difficult for me to actually commit myself to gluing down these images some of which I have carried around with me for ten years."
