Heather Lane is a painter born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in 1958. She studied at Dalhousie University, where she received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1979, at the university of British Columbia, where she received a Diploma in Art History in 1992, and at Emily Carr Instittute of Art and Design, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997.
Scope and content
The work consists of an artist's box, 24 x 35 x 11.5 cm, containing a painting in oil and wax on canvas 16.5 cm square, a journal, with text and colour photocopies of Lane's paintings 9.5 x 10 cm, and twenty-five painted wooden squares, 5 x 5 cm.
