Murray Polson is an artist whose practice encompasses mixed media, including painting, audio works, and computer manipulated multi-media work, with the experience of being out of doors. He was born in 1939 in Cheltenham, England, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture and sculpture from the University of Oregon in 1968, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Instituto Allende in Mexico, in 1972.
Scope and content
The book, entitled "Turning Point" by Murray Polson, [1997], consists of fold out panels in sections with mounted colour laser prints (computer generated), a panoramic computer print, an audio cassette tape recording, 34 minutes, of sounds of artist's heart rate, breathing, and footfall as the terrain across which the artist is travelling manipulates his physiology.
