Albertine Meyer is a painter born in Edmonton, Alberta. She studied on several occasions at the University of British Columbia from 1955-1981, and from 1990-1995 at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, receiving several degrees, including Bachelor of Fine Art, Diploma of Fine Art, Permanent Certificate in Teaching, and Bachelor of Home Economics.
Scope and content
The collection consists of three charcoal drawings on paper, 25 x 35 cm, by Albertine Meyer, two glass bottles containing sand and a shell, one round stone with barnacles, 10 cm diameter, three colour photoprints, 13 x 19.5 cm, of works by Meyer described as "about 4' x 24" top cedar," "fiberglass landscape & jute 3' long 15" high," "Sea, Land, and Air," and three empty drug capsule sheets, thirteen colour slides in a plastic sleeve of Meyer's work identified with labels, one rolled strip of birch bark, 14 x 3 cm, one piece of cedar bark, 13 x 20 cm, and one photocopy, 25 x 28.5 cm of a text by Meyer.
