Valerie Metz is an artist whose practice has encompassed printmaking, sculpture and landscape, born in 1935 in Starbuck, MB. She studied at the University of British Columbia where she received a degree in Fine Arts.
Scope and content
The collection consists of the following items: a photoprint of the artist's work "Walking the Loop" and descriptive text, both affixed to the interior of the document box, 0.1 cm textual material, including a list of books that the artist considers have added to her personal philosophy and a page giving a web site address which accesses images of the artist's work and resume, and a spherical granite boulder, 13 cm diameter, from Vancouver Island, along with a white candle streaked with blue, 17 cm in length.
