  6. To install, you must use the INSTALL.BAT file on the distribution disk disk.
  7. Do NOT just copy the files from the floppy to a directory on your hard disk, 
  8. or else you will not get the RECONFIG.BAT file which is used to start up the 
  9. program.

  14. README       - This file, contains list of files and installation instructions
  15. INSTALL.BAT  - Batch file which installs Reconfig to your hard disk
  16. RECONFIG.DOC - On-disk documentation file for Reconfig
  17. RECONFIG.EXE - Reconfig program, don't run this directly, use RECONFIG.BAT
  18. RECONFIG.TXT - Opening screen used when you run Reconfig
  19. MCS.DOC      - On disk documentation file of another fine OSNH product called
  20.                The Menu Construction Set

  23. *** Installation Instructions ***
  24.  
  25. Insert the Installation Disk into a floppy drive and then type:
  26.  
  27.                     A:       (or B: if you inserted the diskette into Drive B)
  28.                     INSTALL [directory]
  29.  
  30. INSTALL creates a batch file called RECONFIG.BAT, which should always be used
  31. to run the Reconfig program.  RECONFIG.BAT is placed in the root directory of
  32. Drive C.  It can be moved to any directory that is in your PATH.
  33.  
  34. If you do not specify a directory to INSTALL, Reconfig will be installed to the
  35. C:\RECONFIG directory.  If you prefer to install Reconfig to a different 
  36. directory, include the name of the directory after the word INSTALL.  For
  37. example, INSTALL D:\TOOLS\RECONFIG will install Reconfig to the \TOOLS\RECONFIG
  38. directory on Drive D.  However, the RECONFIG.BAT file is still copied to the 
  39. root directory of Drive C.  Remember, you may move RECONFIG.BAT to any 
  40. directory on your hard disk as long as the directory is in your PATH.

  42. Install copies the following files to the installation directory:

  44. RECONFIG.DOC - On-disk documentation - also contains an order form
  45. RECONFIG.TXT - Opening screen used when you run Reconfig
  46. RECONFIG.EXE - RECONFIG.BAT runs this program for you
  47.  
  48. Note that if you are reinstalling Reconfig, or installing a new version of
  49. Reconfig over an old one, your existing configurations will not be changed in 
  50. any way.
