  12. INSTALLING.

  14. If you downloaded Odyssey Shareware Version from a BBS, then it probably
  15. came as a file called ODY150SH.ZIP, and contained the following files:-
  16.  
  17.          ODY150SH.LZH   -  The Odyssey Shareware Program - archived.
  18.          INSTALL.EXE    -  Odyssey Installation Program.
  19.          READ.ME        -  You are reading it now.
  20.          DISTRIB.DOC    -  Guidelines for distribution
  21.          LICENSE.DOC    -  License Terms for using Odyssey
  22.          ORDER.ME       -  Order form for TRIUS products

  24. You may if you wish now unpack the LZH file using LHARC, however the
  25. reason for packing the files in this way is to make it easier for you to
  26. install, using the supplied installation program, which will also create
  27. the necessary configuration files etc. Here's how to to use the install
  28. program:-

  30.     1. Change to the drive/directory containing the above files.
  31.     2. run INSTALL.
  32.  
  33. For example, if the files came on a floppy, then (pressing <Enter> after
  34. each line) :-
  35.  
  36.       a:                           -- change to your floppy drive.
  37.       install                      -- start the install program.
  38.  
  39. INSTALL will ask you for any details it requires during installation, such
  40. as what drive and directory to use, what port your modem is connected to,
  41. etc. It does NOT change your CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT or do any other
  42. strange tricks. When it's done you are ready to go. Enjoy your evaluation
  43. period! Remember to read ODY150SH.DOC for summarized info on using the
  44. package.

  50. This package is a SHAREWARE distribution version of the Odyssey
  51. Communications program. It has been provided to allow you to fully
  52. evaluate the usefulness of the Odyssey package BEFORE spending your hard
  53. earned pennies.

  55. Please remember that SHAREWARE does NOT mean "Free Software", and it most
  56. certainly does NOT mean that Odyssey is in the public domain. The purpose
  57. of the Odyssey shareware version is solely to allow you to decide whether
  58. or not Odyssey meets your needs. If it does, then we expect you to pay for
  59. it! If you downloaded the package from a BBS, then you have not paid for
  60. it, whether or not the BBS has connect charges. If you got the program
  61. from a disk library, then you have NOT paid for Odyssey - you only paid
  62. for the disk.

  64. You are hereby granted a limited license to use and evaluate Odyssey
  65. Shareware Version for 30 days. If at the end of that time you no longer
  66. wish to use Odyssey then either remove it from your PC, or give it away.
  67. If you continue to use it you MUST register your copy with TRIUS, Inc.

  70. product, whether hardware or software, without specific permission in
  71. writing from TRIUS, Inc. or the authors.  For example, you may not
  72. bundle Odyssey Shareware Version on a disk with any computer you sell, nor
  73. may you include it with any software you distribute, whether or not that
  74. software is paid for, without prior written permission.
