  3. We hope you enjoy this demo version of TEMPRA GIF v1.01 for VGA and SVGA cards.

  5. TEMPRA GIF is the Ultimate Personal Imaging tool for working on, or creating
  6. color image files. TEMPRA GIF lets you manipulate GIF or PCX files with any
  7. resolution up to 8192 x 8192 pixels in size. TEMPRA GIF is a brand new product
  8. with its own POWERFUL GUI which lets you EDIT color images quickly and
  9. easily. It can run under WINDOWS 3(TM) as a DOS(TM) application, or
  10. stand alone in a DOS Environment. It has an amazing collection of tools
  11. typically only found in expensive imaging packages that cost more than $1000.

  13. TEMPRA GIF is available on a limited basis for $79.00 to BBS users together

  18. TEMPRA GIF is a daughter product to TEMPRA PRO. TEMPRA PRO has added abilities
  19. to allow the user to Scan and Print images, and can work with up to 16.7 Million
  20. color images on deep color VGA boards and the Hercules Graphics Station Card.
  21. Also TEMPRA PRO can Import and Export TIF, TGA and IBM AVC color images as well
  22. as GIF and PCX files. TEMPRA PRO will is available through Merisel Dealers in
  23. the USA at a retail price of $495.

  25. Please note: Printing and Scanning are not available in TEMPRA GIF.
  26.              The TEMPRA PRO Printing and Scanning Menus can be explored in
  27.              TEMPRA GIF. The user will get a function not available message
  28.              if a print or scan is attempted.

  30. To run this primer product, simply copy the contents of this diskette to your
  31. hard disk drive (to a \TEMPRA subdirectory is suggested) and type TEMPRA.

  33. N.B.  A Windows 3 PIF file (TEMPRA.PIF) and Icon (TEMPRA.ICO) are provided to
  34.       assist you in running the TEMPRA GIF Primer in a WINDOWS 3 environment
  35.       as a DOS application.

  37. When you first start the TEMPRA GIF primer from the DOS command line or WINDOWS
  38. 3, a brief configuration menu will appear for you to select the type of VGA
  39. or SVGA video card installed in your system.  TEMPRA GIF will then configure
  40. and load itself.  Be sure that you have your mouse driver loaded BEFORE running
  41. TEMPRA GIF.  You may also want to have a few GIF or PCX files handy to load
  42. into TEMPRA GIF. ENJOY!

  44. If you need to reconfigure TEMPRA GIF for a VGA card other than the one you
  45. first install it on, you can type TEMPRA -R to reconfigure it from the same
  46. startup menu.
