- SaveScrn - Windows NT screen-saver launcher 9/28/94
-
- This is a simple utility that causes the screen saver to be started. If
- your screen saver is set up to be password protected, this has the additional
- effect of locking your screen. I wrote this since I wanted the functionality
- (fewer mouse-clicks than doing Ctl-Alt-Del/Lock Screen, and the screen saver
- starts immediately), and I couldn't find such a utility anywhere. I use this
- to lock my system quickly when headed out of my office.
-
- This works nicely when launched by RipBar32 (by Jonathan Carroll,
- 74017.3242@compuserve.com), since this gives single click access to your
- screen saver. It can also be launched by a shortcut key combination from
- program manager.
-
- Thanks to Alan Phillips (A.Phillips@lancaster.ac.uk), the author of the
- Programmers File Editor (PFE), for hints on how to do this.
-
- Source is included. I used a beta version of Visual C++ 2.0, but there
- shouldn't be much dependency on that. I have tested it on Daytona Beta I
- and II, and expect it should work on NT 3.1 and NT 3.5 (it's not very
- complicated ;-)
-
- This program and source code are placed in the public domain (ie, the price
- is right!). You may copy and distribute it as you see fit, as long as this
- file is included.
-
- Enjoy!
