- Here are a couple of tips to help make using PTerm easier and more
- productive for you!
-
-
- o Its easy to get PTerm to keep a scrollable on screen capture
- buffer. Run PTerm and using the System menu (ALT-SPACEBAR) choose
- "Screen Size and Position". From there you can set the height of
- the screen buffer to the number of lines you want saved. I have
- mine set to 1024. Click on both "Save" boxes and then Ok. PTerm
- will now have a vertical scroll bar which will allow you to scroll
- through the last 1024 lines.
-
- o Mouse cut and paste makes it easy to grab bits of information off
- PTerm's window and paste it at the current cursor position. Again,
- from the System menu choose "Settings". Click the "QuickEdit Mode"
- and "Save Configuration" boxes, then Ok. Now, using the left mouse
- button you can mark the bit of text you want to copy. Once marked,
- click right mouse button to copy it. When you want to insert that
- text just click the right mouse button anywhere over PTerm's
- window. Note that this works with ALL console (command) windows!
-
- o Don't forget you can choose any font available in the "Fonts"
- dialog box (System menu, "Fonts") for PTerm to use.
