- SUMMARY
- =======
-
- You can change the system font in Windows NT by editing the Registry using
- the REGEDIT utility.
-
- WARNING: Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-
- wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct
- them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the
- use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own
- risk.
-
- The FONTS.FON value in the following subkey under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- hive can be changed to the font of your choice:
-
- \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize
-
- Note: You must enter a font filename with the extension, .FON, in order for
- this to work.
-
- CAUTION: Changing the system font may make some command buttons, check
- boxes and captions unreadable, especially if you are using a 256 color
- video driver.
