  16. The Windows NT Performance Monitor may show that the system is running
  17. without any active applications, but is still using between 70 and 140
  18. threads.

  20. The majority of these threads are system threads; the exact number in
  21. use depends on your system options. For example, you have
  22. approximately 16 additional threads if you have active LAN Manager
  23. server and workstation services.
