- -------------------------------------------------------------
-
- SYMPTOMS
- ========
-
- After you install U.S. Service Pack 2 for Windows NT and Windows NT
- Advanced Server, trying to print from a Macintosh client causes this error
- message to appear:
-
- <application_name> is unable to print this document.
- Make sure you've selected a printer.
-
- This happens only if you have set up a user account for the Print Server
- for Macintosh as described on page 64 of the Windows NT Advanced Server
- "Services for Macintosh" (SFM) manual.
-
- WORKAROUND
- ==========
-
- To work around this problem, use the Services section of Control Panel to
- set the Print Server for Macintosh to log on as the System Account.
-
- NOTE: You are unable to set print permissions for Macintosh clients when
- the Print Server for Macintosh is logged on as the System Account.
-
- STATUS
- ======
-
- Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
- Advanced Server version 3.1. A fix to this problem is in development, but

- environments. Microsoft does not recommend implementing this fix at this
- time. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services for more information on
