  18. When you install Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server on the following
  19. Data Stor computers, a parity error or setup error message may appear, or
  20. your computer may stop responding (hang):

  24.    486-33SX Desktop or Tower
  25.    486-50DX Desktop or Tower
  26.    486-66DX2 Desktop or Tower

  28. CAUSE

  31. Although these Data Stor computers are on the Hardware Compatibility List,
  32. early models contain motherboards that have a problem with the UMC chipset
  33. and are incompatible with Windows NT. If you purchased your computer before
  34. March 1993 or if the motherboard does NOT have a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF)
  35. CPU socket, your computer may have this chipset.

  40. To correct this problem, upgrade your motherboard. Contact Data Stor
  41. technical support at (800) 543-6098. Alternatively, you may be able to
  42. work around the problem by disabling certain CMOS settings, particularly by
  43. slowing the computer clock rate by disabling the turbo option.
