  15. If you add an additional processor to the Compaq Proliant 2000, Windows NT
  16. may report "processor in slot 1 failed" during startup.

  18. To resolve this problem, perform the following steps:

  20. 1. Be sure to use processor board #148677-001 Rev level F or higher.
  21.  
  22. 2. Upgrade the firmware ROM on the Proliant 2000 motherboard to 010594 or
  23.    higher. You can download the firmware update file (in compressed PKZip
  24.    format) from the COMPAQ forum on CompuServe.
